Display settings

Setting the Wallpaper
Photos or videos that have been
taken or downloaded pictures
saved in the Gallery as well as
preset pictures can be set as
wallpaper.
1 Open the Wallpaper display.
• Press O → → Display
→ Wallpaper
The current wallpaper informa-
tion is displayed. Press O to
proceed.
2 Select Original or Gallery and
press O.
3 Select the desired image and
press O.

Changing input modes and
character size
1 Open the Character Input
display.
• Press O → → Display→
Character Input
2 Select an item and press O.
Input Method: Selects input mode
from Traditional
Chinese, Simplified
Chinese, or English.
Edit Text Templates: Enables the
editing of text in 16
categories, Internet,
Greeting, Message,
Response, Business,
and Free (a blank page
to use as desired).
Edit Smileys: Enables the editing
of various emoticons.
Character Size: Selects the size
from Small or Stan-
dard for each of the
Input Character,
Phonebook, List and
Input Phone.
Word List: Up to 160 words can
be registered.
Setting the Display Saving
mode
The S103 is set to turn off the
display illumination after a set idle
time. The default time is set to 30
seconds. The display illumination
is restored if you press any key.
1 Open the Display Saving
display.
• Press O → → Display
→ Display Saving

2 Select Show Subdisplay or No
Subdisplay and press O.
3 Enter an idle time (30 to 300
seconds) and press O.
Setting the display backlight
and the keypad backlight
You can set the backlight for the
display and the keypad separately.
1 Open the Light display.
• Press O → → Display
→ Light
2 Select from the following
options and press O.
Backlight: Sets the illumination
duration from 5 to 99
seconds. Selects the
brightness from
Minimum or Normal.
