Finding a phonebook entry by
entering a name
You can enter the person's first
name, last name, or company
name to search and make a call.
Even entering part of the name
can be used to perform this
search.
1 In Standby mode, press d to
open the Phonebook.
2 Press [Options], select Search
and press O, and then select
Name Search and press O.
3 Enter the name (either first
name, last name, or company
name) and press O.
Phonebook entries correspond-
ing to the name are displayed.

Deleting a phonebook entry, all
entries or selecting an entry to
delete
1 In Standby mode, press d to
open the Phonebook.
2 Select the entry to delete, press
[Options], then select Delete
and press O. A selection
window appears.
3 • To delete one, select Delete
One and press O. Then
press [YES] to confirm.
• To delete all, select Delete
ALL and press [YES] to
confirm.
• To delete selected, select
Delete Selected, use the
navigation padkeys to mark
the entries to delete by
pressing O, and then press
[Execute]. Press [YES] to
confirm.
Note: If secret phonebook entries are
included, another selection
window appears. Mark Secret
Data and Normal Data to
delete both, or mark Normal
Data only, if you do not want to
delete secret entries. See below
for how to set the phonebook
entry as a secret entry.
Setting the phonebook entry as
a secret entry
Use this feature after setting
Secret mode to On. If Secret
mode is set to Off, the secret
setting icon
will not appear in
the phonebook entries' "Other"
display. For details about Secret
mode, see p. XX.
1 Open the phonebook entry
display you want to hide from
others.
Call manager
2 Press r to go to the screen
titled Other, and then select
and press O.
3 Select On and press O. Now
the entry is saved as a secret
entry.
Note: To hide the phonebook entry, go
to Secret mode and select Off.
If you want to display these
secret phonebook entries, set
Secret mode to On.
Sending a message from a
phonebook entry
1 Open the phonebook entry to
which you want to send a
message, or select the
phonebook entry in the
Phonebook.
2 Press [Options], select Create
Message and press O.
