This document and the operating manual of the benchtop
bioreactor Labfors 5 are component part of the Labfors 5 Cell with
option for single-use vessels. Both documents must be kept near
to the equipment and must be accessible to the operators at all
times. The operators must read thoroughly and fully understand
both documents before commencement of any work. Adhering to
all the points, advice and instructions concerning safety and
operation in both documents is a pre-condition for safe working.
Furthermore, local rules for accident prevention and general safety
regulations relevant to the equipment's field of application, as well
as internal safety regulations, may be in force.
This document contains pictures which aid general understanding
and can differ from the actual equipment and option as supplied.
The single-use vessel option for Labfors 5 Cell is available as a
complete system for both power grid types 230 V / 50/60 Hz and
115 V / 60 Hz.
Existing Labfors 5 Cell systems can also be modified on request.
The single-use vessel option for Labfors 5 Cell is only usable for
cultivations in a Mobius® CellReady 3L Bioreactor, manufactured
by Merck Millipore™. The Mobius® CellReady 3L Bioreactor is
called the "single-use vessel" for all subsequent descriptions in the
remainder of this document.
Purchase of a single-use vessel is made directly from Merck
Millipore™. Claim for substitution, exchange or changes of the
vessel configuration can only be submitted to the manufacturer i.e.
Merck Millipore™. Also, the documentation with technical data and
instructions for use and disposal are only available from Merck
Millipore™.
The equipment's manufacturer, INFORS HT, is only responsible for
the supply, service and documentation of the system excluding the
single-use vessel.
