2. Lower the DDIC into the bay, with the drive capacity label facing toward you, as shown in Figure 89
"Installing a DDIC Drive" on page 88
3. Push the DDIC downwards and hold it down while sliding the drive carrier plate to the end in the
direction shown in Figure 89 "Installing a DDIC Drive" on page 88. This locks the drive in place.

4. Check that the release latch has returned to its locked position, as shown in Figure 90 "Latch Position of
a Correctly Inserted Drive" on page 88.
