Changing the GC configuration

It is easy to unconfigure a module and make it appear to be
uninstalled without disconnecting any cables. This is useful if a
module fails and the customer still wants to use the other
modules. For example, if the back inlet fails, the customer can
unconfigure the back inlet and continue to use the front inlet and
detectors.
1 Press [Options] and select Keyboard & Display.
Press [Off / No] to turn the Configuration Lock off.
Press [Config] and the key for the GC module to remove.
From the line labeled Configure, press [Mode/Type] .
Press [Enter] . The GC will display a message requesting you
to power cycle the instrument.
Power cycle the instrument.
Verify the removal by pressing the key for the GC module. The
GC should display an uninstalled message.
The GC configuration is changed when you do any of the
following:
Add or replace a detector signal board.
Add or replace an EPC module.
Replace the GC logic board.
Add or remove a tray or auto-injector.
Add or remove a heater.
Change any soft configuration items, such as, gas types,
heater types, and Lit offset.
Changing the GC configuration impacts data system methods
and methods stored in the GC.
