Test Run
The test run consists of verifying the following: 1)
The motor powers up and runs correctly, 2) the
emergency stop/RESET button safety feature
works correctly.

To test run machine:
1.
Make sure chuck and jaws, if installed, are
secure (refer to Chuck Installation on Page
34).
Note: If chuck is not installed on lathe, you do
not need to install one for this test.
2.
Make sure spindle lever is in OFF (center)
position (see Figure 24).
3.
To ensure carriage components do not unex-
pectedly move during following steps, disen-
gage half nut lever and apron feed selection
lever (see Figure 24).

4.
Rotate Emergency Stop/RESET button clock-
wise so it pops out. Power lamp on control
panel should illuminate.
