Plate Cutout
This procedure is applicable to wood doors.
1) Insert the bolt into the 1" (25 mm) hole
until the face plate butts up against the
door edge. Draw a line around the face
plate. Remove the bolt from the door,
figure 4-1, A.
2) For doors without a beveled edge, use a
sharp 1" (25 mm) wood chisel to remove
approximately
enough so the face plate is perfectly flush
with the edge of the door, figure 4-1, B.
3) For doors with a beveled edge, follow
Step 2 except the face plate will not be
flush with the edge of the door, but rather
square to the face of the door. In order to
accomplish this, you must remove more
wood from the higher edge of the door.

RIGHT HAND DOOR
(see template)
1) Insert the bolt, with the arrow pointing
up, into the 1" (25 mm) hole, figure 5-1.
2) Secure the bolt face plate to the
door with the two Phillips-head
screws provided.
LEFT HAND DOOR
(see template)
1) Insert the bolt, with the arrow
pointing down, into the 1" (25 mm)
hole , figure 5-2.
2) Secure the bolt face plate to the door with
the two Phillips-head screws provided
(pg.7, H).

Corte de la placa de
recubrimiento del cerrojo
Este procedimiento sólo se aplica a las
puertas de madera.
1) Coloque el cerrojo en el agujero de 25 mm
(1 pulg.) hasta que la placa de recubrimien
to quede al ras contra el borde de la
puerta. Trace una línea alrededor de la
placa. Saque el cerrojo de la puerta,
ilustración 4-1, A.
2) Para las puertas sin borde biselado, utilice
un cincel bien afilado para sacar alrededor

de 3 mm ( ⁄ pulg.) de material o lo

suficiente como para que la placa quede
al ras con el borde de la puerta,
ilustración 4-1, B.
3) Para las puertas con borde biselado, siga el
paso 2, excepto que la placa de recubrim-
iento no quedará al ras con el borde de la
puerta, sino más bien en escuadra con el
borde inferior de la puerta. Para lograrlo,
deberá quitar más madera del borde
superior de la puerta.

HACIA LA DERECHA

1) Inserte el cerrojo, con la flecha
mirando hacia arriba, en el agujero de
25 mm (1 pulg.), ilustración 5-1.
2) Fije la placa de recubrimiento del cerrojo
a la puerta con los dos tornillos con
cabeza Phillips suministrados (pg.7, H).

IZQUIERDA

1) Inserte el cerrojo, con la flecha miran
do hacia abajo, en el agujero de
25 mm (1 pulg.), ilustración 5-2.
2) Fije la placa de recubrimiento del cerrojo

cabeza Phillips suministrados (pg.7, H).
