7.3.3 Mechanically elevating footrest

The power wheelchair can be equipped with mechanically
elevating footrests (see fig. 42).
Proceed as follows to elevate the footrests:
1. Use the release lever on the footrest (to unblock the gas
compression spring, see arrow in fig. 41).
2. Move the footrest to the desired position.
3. Let go of the release lever (to again block the gas com-
pression spring).

Control panel holder

7.4.1 Swing-away control panel holder with removable
control panel
The removable control panel can be pulled up and removed
from the control panel holder.
To allow the user to drive the power wheelchair closer to an
object or under the edge of a table, the control panel can be
folded aside with a special control panel holder:
1. Apply slight sideways pressure to the control panel
holder to release the pivot element.
2. Fold the control panel holder aside.
3. The pivot element locks in place again when the holder is
rotated back to the original position.
