Setting the Instrument System Controls

Table 17 shows the options for each of the system control buttons at the top of the Tune
window.

Procedure

To set the instrument power mode
Click the icon for the applicable power mode.
The center of the selected icon changes from white to
green. See Setting the Instrument Power
 To set the ion polarity mode
Click Positive (Negative) and select the ion polarity
mode.
 To set the data type
Click Centroid (Profile) and select the data type.
 To turn the scan averaging on or off
Click the button to switch between on and off.
 To set the scan averaging value
Click the down arrow to enter the value, and then
click Apply.
