Removing the API Source Interface

Thermo Scientific
Chemicals can accumulate on the surfaces of the RF lens, exit lens, MP00 RF lens, and lens
L0. The lenses require cleaning less often than the ion sweep cone and the ion transfer tube.
How frequently you clean these lenses depends on the type and quantity of the compounds
that you analyze. Remove the lenses from the API source interface cage before cleaning them.
No tools are needed to remove or install these components.
To clean the RF lens, exit lens, MP00 RF lens, and lens L0, follow these procedures:
• Removing the API Source Interface
• Removing the RF Lens, Exit Lens, MP00 RF Lens, and Lens L0 (Altis/Quantis)
• Removing the Exit Lens, MP00, and Lens L0 (Fortis)
