Transceiver Slots
A stack trunk cannot have both 10Gbps base slots and 10Gbps
transceivers in AT-XEM2-4QS Line Cards. An example of an
invalid trunk of four 10Gbps links of both base and line card
transceivers is shown in Figure 24.

You can use the 40/100Gbps transceiver slots, identified in Figure 25, for
the stack trunk.

Here are the guidelines:
You can use either 40Gbps or 100Gbps links for a trunk.
There are no default trunk transceiver slots.
Stack trunks of 40Gbps transceivers can have two, three, or four
links.
Stack trunks of 100Gbps transceivers must have two links.
Trunks of 40Gbps links can consist of fiber optic transceivers or
QSFP1CU or QSFP3CU direct attach cables.
Trunks of 100Gbps links can consist of fiber optic transceivers or
QSFP28-1CU or QSFP28-3CU direct attach cables.
An example of a trunk of four 40Gbps links is shown in Figure 26
on page 54.
