Problem
Packer moves forward but
stops at the end of stroke
Packer does not perform
enough cycles
Backup alarm and warning

Close LHS hopper door.

Adjust switch. See Adjusting Packer
Extend Limit/Proximity Switch on

Reprogram the module for higher
number of cycles (see Multicycle on
page 138).
Adjust tailgate proximity switch (see
Adjusting Tailgate Unlocked
Proximity Switch on page 44).
Check the proximity switch with a
multimeter or
for proper
VOM
operation (O
/O
or click).

Replace if necessary.
Check for continuity on the
electrical harness that is connected
to the proximity switch. Change the
electrical harness if necessary.
Recalibrate cylinder speed (see
Adjusting Arm Speed on page 164).
Align switch lever with gripper
finger (see Adjusting Arm Stowed
Limit Switch on page 50).
Perform a continuity test on the
cable. Replace faulty cables if
necessary.
Replace faulty limit switch.
Follow wires on the electrical
schematic for 12-volt supply (move
joystick to get signal).
