Setting up your WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi Mesh
System as Mesh Node
WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi Mesh System is a Mesh-Ready device as a Mesh-
Node. To set your WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi Mesh System to Mesh Node, you
will need your AIR router as the main router with internet access. Your AIR router will
be the Mesh Controller. Since WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi Mesh System is a Mesh
Node, it does not need any initial setup. The SSID your mesh system will follow is the
SSID of your 5.0 GHz network. (This is provided if your Smart AP Steering is On. If Smart
AP Steering is Off, the 2.4GHz's SSID will remain as pre-set 2.4GHz SSID).
To set up your Mesh System with WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi Mesh System as
Mesh Node:
1. Position your WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi Mesh System near the AIR
router and plug the power adapter to the mains.
2. Press and hold the WPS button of the AIR Router until the WPS LED starts
to blink.
3. Press and hold the WPS button of the WMB260AC Whole-Home Wi-Fi
Mesh System until the WPS LED starts to blink.*
4. Wait for 2 minutes for the blinking to stop.
5. Wait for the AON LED of the mesh controller and mesh node to turn
solid GREEN for AIR and solid BLUE for WMB260AC.
6. When the AON LED on both the controller and mesh node is solid
GREEN, pairing and link is successful and up.
7. The whole pairing process takes up to 5 minutes.
8. You may now move your mesh node.
NOTE:
*There is no specific order to which WPS Button should be press first. You may also
press and hold the WPS Button of the Mesh Node first.
2. If you do not see the Mesh Controller status on your main router's Web User
Interface, it means that your mesh pairing is unsuccessful.
