Removal and Replacement of Source NDP Components

Pocket Flexures

Each pocket has a pocket flexure to help ensure that documents do not jam
when they enter a pocket. Replace the pocket flexures (Unisys Direct number
75-2098-905) at least every 250,000 documents following these steps:
1. Remove the pocket entry and separator covers (Figures 5-5 and 5-6).
2. Grasp the pocket flexure, and pull up to remove it from the end of the
pocket wall. Refer to Figure 5-15.
3. Replace a pocket flexure by sliding it over the end of the pocket wall, as
shown in Figure 5-16. Push it down as far as it will go.
Note: A slot near the end of flexure fits over a spine in the track wall to
ensure that the end of the flexure is properly positioned.
