Weekly Cleaning Tasks
Remove all covers and the removable track wall.
Use a Unisys Microduster Disposable to blow dust and
paper fragments from the track, feeder areas, either side of
the tower, and pockets. Also blow dust from the ridges on
the inner side of the removable track wall.
Use a Source NDP Image Glass Cleaning Pad (presaturated
with isopropyl alcohol) to wipe the image glass.
Use a Source NDP Cleaning Swab to clean the reflective
sensor in the feeder area.
Power on the unit and wait for the Ready indicator to turn
solid green.
Remove the separator. Observe which side faces the track
wall as indicated by the dots on the top of the assembly.
Hold down the Start/Stop button to start the feed motor,
and use cleaning swabs to
•
Clean the six, large, black drive rollers.
•
Clean the small, brown idler rollers and two sets of
feeder rollers.
Use cleaning swabs to clean the three sets of rollers in the
removable track wall.
Replace the removable track wall.
Replace the separator, returning it to its original position
with the same side towards the track.
Insert a Source NDP Cleaning Card in the feeder and past
the separator until it stops. Hold the card as you press and
release the Start/Stop button to clean the rollers. Repeat.
Place the card in the feeder. Press and release the
Start/Stop button to run the card through the track.
Replace all covers.
