Part 2. Troubleshooting
2.9. "E1" – Refrigerant/brine PCB abnormality
Trigger
Refrigerant/brine PCB A9P detects EEP-
ROM is abnormal.
Possible cause
Faulty refrigerant/brine PCB A9P.
External factor (e.g. electrical noise)
(cause when error is reset after power
reset, and error happens again after
awhile).
Momentary voltage drop/failure.
2.10. "E3" – High pressure abnormality
Trigger
1. High pressure switch opens due to
pressure > 41,7 bar.
2. High pressure control (HP > 38 bar)
occurs 16 times within 300 minutes.
Possible cause
Refrigerant overcharge.
Humidity in refrigerant (ice formation in
expansion valve).
Non condensables in refrigerant.
Refrigerant circuit is clogged.
Faulty high pressure sensor / refriger-
ant/brine PCB A9P.
Faulty high pressure switch / inverter PCB
A10P.
Stop valve is closed.
2.11. "E5" – Compressor motor lock
Trigger
The motor rotor does not rotate when the
compressor is energized.
Possible cause

Version 2.0
Ground source heat pump
Effect
Unit will stop operating.
Check
Check if the alive led is blinking in regular
intervals.
Check for source which could cause elec-
trical interference.
Effect
Unit will stop operating.
Check
Check for refrigerant overcharge.
Check for humidity in the refrigerant.
Check for non condensables in refriger-
ant.
Check for possible blockage (blockages
can be checked by measuring the refriger-
ant/pipe temperature. Sudden drop in
temperature could indicate a blockage
(remark: this is not valid for the expansion
valve)).
Check high pressure sensor (see
page
70).
Check high pressure switch (see
page
71).
Check if stop valve is open.
Effect
Unit will stop operating.
Check
2. Error code based troubleshooting
Reset
Via user interface.
Corrective action
If not blinking in regular intervals, replace
the PCB.
Power reset via outdoor unit.
Power reset via outdoor unit.
Reset
Via user interface.
Corrective action
Charge the correct refrigerant amount
(1.8 kg).
In case of suspicion of humidity recover,
vacuum and recharge with virgin refriger-
ant.
In case of suspicion of non condensables
recover, vacuum and recharge with virgin
refrigerant.
Replace the high pressure sensor (see
page
137) or PCB A9P (see
page
Replace the high pressure switch (see
page
140) or the inverter PCB A10P (see
page
97).
Open stop valve.
Reset
Via user interface.
Corrective action
96).
