3.
In the Max Participants dropdown list, select the maximum number of streams that can be seen.
The number you select can be less than the number of displays you have in your VidyoPanorama
room. By reducing the number of streams, you reduce your receive bandwidth. Vidyo recommends
that you set the total number of systems tiles to the same number you enter in this field.
4.
For each screen, assign the display types (Single Stream, Content, Continuous Presence, Self-View,
or Indications):
a.
Select the display name from the dropdown list.
Once you select a display name, that name will disappear from the remaining dropdown lists to
prevent you from choosing the same name for more than one display. If you want to eliminate a
display, select None from the dropdown list. (Note that the display names that you haven't as-
signed yet appear in the Unselected box at the bottom of the page.)
b.
Click Identify to make sure you selected the appropriate display.
When you click Identify, the display name appears on the physical display(s) for ten seconds.
c.
Select the checkbox next to each display type that you want to assign to that display.
If you select CP as the display type, a pop-up box asks you how many tiles you want to assign to
that CP. Select the number and click Ok. (Remember that there is a Max Tiles setting on the
Admin interface for each Decoder Node so you can't select more than the maximum. For more
information, see page 30.)
When you assign a display type to a display, that display's name will appear in the correspond-
ing Display Priorities box at the bottom of the page. For example, if you assign a display named
"purple-1" as a Single Stream display, the name "purple-1" appears in the Single Stream box at
the bottom of the page.
d.
Repeat Step c if you want to assign more display types to a display.
For example, you could assign a display to be both Single Stream and Content by selecting both
of those checkboxes.
If you recall, in our example, our displays are physically laid out like this:
So how would we assign the display types? First, let's eliminate the screens that we don't physically
have in our room by selecting None from the dropdown list for those two screens:
