ACCESSING THE INTERFACE FOR EACH DECODER NODE
The VidyoPanaorama system has a set of Admin pages from which you can configure the whole system.
These Admin pages are described in Chapter 3. However, you can also access the interface for each
particular Decoder Node. You must access this interface as soon as you power up the Decoder Nodes so
that you can assign the cluster name and node names. You can also access this interface at any other time
to view information about the Decoder Nodes as well as troubleshoot them.
Assigning the Cluster Name and Node Names
Once you have powered up all the VidyoPanorama components, you must access the Decoder Nodes to
verify that the cluster name is accurate and to assign the node names. The Decoder Nodes will each
automatically obtain an IP address using DHCP. If no DHCP server is present, they will generate their own IP
address (that way, you can access them and try to figure out why they're not connecting to the network).
In order for the Controller Node and Decoder Nodes to associate with one another, you must assign them a
cluster name. You must also assign each Decoder Node a node name (also known as a display name) so that
you can recognize which display is which. You enter this information on each Decoder Node's interface,
which you can access using the IP address that each Decoder Node displays on its screen.
To assign the cluster name and node names:
1.
Open a browser on the computer that is connected to the Controller Node.
2.
Enter the IP address of one of the Decoder Nodes in this format:
[IP address of node]:8080/vidyopanorama
You will then access the interface for that particular node.
