INSTALLING THE HARDWARE

Before you begin the installation process, you must ensure that rack rails supplied with VidyoPanorama will
work with the equipment rack you purchased. Once you have checked the rack mounting, you can install
and cable the Controller Node, Decoder Nodes, and the remaining system components.

Checking the Rack Mounting

Rack-mount rails are provided with VidyoPanorama to enable you to install the Controller Node and Decoder
Nodes into your equipment rack. You must ensure that these rails will work with the rack you purchased.
The provided static rack rails support tool-less mounting in 19"-wide, EIA-310-E compliant square hole and
unthreaded round hole racks. The rails also support tooled mounting for four-post threaded and two-post
(Telco) racks. You must provide your own screws when mounting the rails in threaded or two-post racks.
The adjustment range of the rails depends on the type of rack in which they are mounted. The values listed
below represent the allowable distance between the front and rear mounting flanges in the rack.
