You can have Content displays with two or more tiles; however, you may not want to since most
people want to view content as large as possible.
Keep in mind that the notion of layout for the VidyoPanorama room is based on a regular conference room.
In a conference room, participants that come in early have the best seats, and they get to keep those seats
until the end of the conference. Only if they leave can someone else take their seats. Those that come in late
often have to crowd near the edges of the room. And, if anyone distributes a handout or shares a file with
the other participants, everyone looks at that handout or file.
VidyoPanorama works the same. Sites that join the conference early get to be in Single Stream displays and
they get the better-positioned displays (such as those closest to the center of the room). Sites that come in
later get allocated to Continuous Presence displays. Only if the sites in Single Stream displays leave do
those in the CP displays get moved up. Most importantly, any content that is shared takes precedence over
any video.

Sorting Order

VidyoPanorama determines what gets shown on the displays based on this sorting order:
1.
Type (local content gets displayed first, then remote content, then local video, and finally remote
video)
2.
Loudest speaker
3.
Resolution
So let's say we're in a conference where there are three displays, no content is being shared, two displays
are showing Single Stream video, and the third display is showing four sites in a CP. If the participant in one
of the Single Stream displays leaves, which site from the CP will move up to the Single Stream display? If
only one participant in the CP has spoken during the conference, then that participant's site will move up to
the Single Stream display (since that person is the loudest speaker). If a site is calling from a mobile device
(which has poor resolution) and the participant at that site has not spoken during the conference, that site
will be the least likely to get moved up to a Single Stream display during that conference. Of course, if any of
the sites decide to share content, the content will be shown and one of the sites will be moved back to the
CP.
Sometimes in a regular conference, more people attend than can fit in the room. This happens with
VidyoPanorama when the number of streams is greater than the number of tiles. When this occurs,
VidyoPanorama sorts as shown above. For example, that unfortunate participant calling from the mobile
device will again be least likely to be shown. Of course, if the number of streams is less than or equal to the
number of tiles, that participant will always be shown.
To help you identify who's who in the conference (especially when sites change position), the name of each
site appears for ten seconds whenever a site joins a conference or a site shows content. The name of each
site in the CP will appear in the respective tiles.
