Configuring the Network

To configure the network:
1.
Select the Admin page Configuration tab.
2.
If needed, click the blue triangle next to the word Network to view the network settings.
3.
Select the DHCP or the Static radio button.
DHCP is the default. If you select Static, you must enter this information:
The static IP address you will be using.
The subnet mask.
The default gateway.
The primary DNS server.
The NETBIOS name.
The workgroup name.

Setting the Video Encoding Resolution

To set the video encoding resolution:
1.
Select the Admin page Configuration tab.
2.
If needed, click the blue triangle next to the words Video Encoding Resolution to view the video
encoding settings.
3.
Select the 720p or the 1080p radio button.
1080p is the default (1080p/60, that is).
4.
Select the encode bitrate from the Encode Bitrate dropdown list.
4 Mbps is the default. Only 2 Mbps, 4 Mbps, and 6 Mbps are supported with this release of
VidyoPanorama version 1.0.
5.
Select the number of encoding layers from the H264-SVC Encoding Layers dropdown list.
If you expect mostly room systems and hardly any mobile participants in your VidyoPanorama
calls, select 2 to save upstream bandwidth. 2 is the default.
If you expect a lot of mobile participants in your VidyoPanorama calls and you have enough
bandwidth, select 3. This will add about ½ MB to 1080p/60 calls, but it makes it a better
experience for mobile participants.
Do not select 1; it is notsupported with this release of VidyoPanorama version 1.0.
