Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the keyboard/top cover:
1.
Remove the rear (1) and front rubber foot strips (2).
The front and rear rubber foot strips are included in the Rubber Kits, spare part number L20111-001 (in
dark ash silver finish) and L20110-001 (in natural silver finish).
2.
Remove the following screws that secure the bottom cover to the computer:
(3) Six Phillips M2.5×5.7 screws (under the rubber foot strips)
(4) One Torx5 M2.0×4.3 screw (on the front edge of the computer)
