When you select "List Video Drivers," the dialog box shown in Figure 6-27 appears.
Figure 6-27. The List Video Drivers dialog box.
This is a list of the "video drivers" (preferences files) that the ServLINK has stored
for the ServLINK's active Host PC. The ServLINK uses these "drivers" to determine
how best to display the video output from the attached PCs. Usually there will only
be one video driver per PC. This list includes each driver's filename, date and time
of last change/save, and host PC.
You can highlight a driver and click the Select button to choose it for the active
PC, or click Delete to delete the file. You can also click Update to have the
ServLINK update the list of available drivers for this PC. Click Exit to return to the
Main Menu, or click Help for on-line help on the Video Drivers List.
Under normal circumstances, almost the only situation in which you'll need to
choose a different driver for a PC is if (a) you run multiple software programs on
the PC and (b) the programs radically differ from each other in their video output.
You should almost never need to delete a driver. In general, these video-driver
options are mostly intended for testing and for very specialized applications; we
recommend that you avoid using them.
