When:
a) The fast output filter mode is turned on, or
b) Noise measurement mode is turned ON (NOISEMODE 1)
the selection is according to the following table:
n
Slope
0
6 dB/octave
1
12 dB/octave

AXO
Auto-Offset
The X and Y channel output offsets are turned on and set to levels giving zero X and
Y channel outputs. Any changes in the input signal then appear as changes about
zero in the outputs.
EX [n]
Output expansion control
Expands X and/or Y channel outputs by a factor of 10. Changes bar-graphs, analog
outputs full-scale to ±100% if X or Y selected. The value of n has the following
significance:
n

FASTMODE [n]
Output Filter Mode Control
The value of n sets the output filter mode control according to the following table:
n
Function
0
Fast mode off
1
Fast mode on
When the fast analog output mode is turned off, the available output filter time
constant is restricted to 5 ms or greater, but all four filter slopes are available (i.e. 6,
12, 18 and 24 dB/octave). Conversely, when the mode is turned on, time constants
down to 10 µs can be selected, but the slope is limited to either 6 or 12 dB/octave.
