4 Communication Server
configuration

4.1 Introduction

To support these enhanced features, ensure that the communication server has the appropriate
settings. A basic checklist of the necessary settings follows. More detailed information is available
in the OmniPCX Enterprise installation manuals.

4.2 Alarm system support for OmniPCX Enterprise server

8262 DECT handset is supported in AGAP mode both on TDM and IP-DECT infrastructures.

OXE/Alarm server interface:
T2/ABC-F:
Numbering is limited to 20 digits on the alarm server side.
o
Other Alarm servers: to be checked.
o
OXE can send up to 26 digits to the alarm server.
o
CNI is supported both for outgoing/incoming calls.
o
 T2 can be used for outgoing signaling towards the alarm server:
In Office mode only with 17 digits dialed. T2 can be used by the alarm server to
o
signal incoming alarms & to keep the current available features.
T2 is a preferred interface for small premises deployment because of the lower end
o
user cost.
H323:
The alarm server can receive unlimited number of digits.
o
Other Alarm servers: to be checked.
o
OXE can send up to 26 digits.
o
CNI is supported both for outgoing/incoming calls.
o
 H323 can be used for outgoing signaling towards the alarm server in Office and Enterprise mode
with up to 26 digits dialed. T2 will be used for incoming calls to keep the current available
features.
SIP:
The alarm server can receive unlimited number of digits.
o
Other Alarm servers: to be checked.
o
OXE can send up to 26 digits.
o
CNI is supported both for outgoing/incoming calls.
o
 SIP can be used for outgoing signaling towards the alarm server in Office and Enterprise mode
with up to 26 digits dialed.
