3 consecutive Defrosts with time less than 8 minutes
Such events might happen due to failures occurring to the Defrost Heater and/or Bimetal, either followed or
not by Defrost Blocking. Therefore, check for the proper functioning of the same as described in the
following procedure.
4 Hz Alarm means defrost system failure.
2 Hz Alarm means temperature or door management system failure.
Procedure for failure Analysis on Bimetal or Defrost Heater
Whenever an ice blocking is detected in these Refrigerators, it is very important to perform the correct
diagnosis on both the Defrost Heater and Bimetal for ensuring the perfect functioning by the time of
performing the defrost procedure.
A- Defrost Heater Test
a.1) Perform the product self-test as indicated in Item 4.1 – Test Routine
a.2) During the self-test ensure that the Current indicated in the Ammeter Pliers display is in accordance to
the specifications below.

a.3) If the current value found is different from the above mentioned, also check for the Resistance Ohm
value. In resistance scale R x1)
