With the closed doors, disconect and conect the power plug from the wall electrical supply;
Open and close the refrigerator door for 4 times;
On the Interface Plate, press the "Freezer" (temperature selection) key for 5 times;
Open and close the refrigerator door once;
Open both doors (Refrigerator and Freezer) at the same time. At this moment the fan's motor should
switch on automatically and the lights should be off.
Press the "Freezer" key, and the fan's motor will switch off;
Press the "Freezer" key again, and the compressor will switch on;
Press the "Freezer" key and the compressor will switch off;
Press the "Freezer" key again, and the defrost heater will switch on;
Press the "Freezer" key, and the heater will switch off;
Press the "Freezer" key once again and the lights (refrigerator and freezer compartments) will switch
Press the "Freezer" key, and the lights will switch off;
Press the "Freezer's" key one more time, the product will cancel its test routine and return to normal
4.2 – Self-Test General Notes:
The maximum time allowed between each of the operations (after the fan check) is 6 minutes. After
this time the Self-Test will be automatically cancelled and the factory test routine lasting
approximately 8 minutes will begin.
Using Ammeter Pliers monitor the component Electric Current. The Ammeter Pliers should be placed on
the power cable by the WHITE WIRE behind the Potency Module, as this is the common wire for the
whole product Electric Line.
After the 5 item, you will notice that the Freezer temperature selection Leds will go off (only the power
indication red Led will remain on), thus indicating that the Self-Test was accepted;
5 – OTHER COMPONENTS :
5.1 – Cooling Fluid:
The operations of items 2 to 5 must be done within 1minute for the self-test to be
Leave the fan switched on for 4 minutes, so that the system's pressure equalizes and
the Compressor may be tested in the next step. (Monitor the fan's current value
through the an Ammeter)
Let the compressor run for 5 minutes. This time is necessary for the bimetallic strip to
close its contact, and in the next step we can test its resistance. (The value of the
current indicated on the an Ammeter should be close to the nominal value).
Check on the Clamp Ammeter if the heater was switched on and compare the current
value on the an Ammeter with the value of Defrost Heater Current Table. If the value
is different unplug the product from the power supply and check the element's ohmic
value according to the Defrost Heater Ohmic Table value.
The WRM34, WBM35 models, no has light in the Freezer Compartment, however just
the refrigerator light will turn on.
