RUN EXCITE: Service & Maintenance Manual - rev. 1.5
Follow the procedure step by step to correctly diagnose the problem. Take particular care with the
checks highlighted by circled numbers, which are described in detail below:
Place the tester probes across pins 1 and 2 of patch connector G. The measured value should
(1)
be approximately 24 Vdc.
Place the tester probes across pins 6 and 4 of patch connector G. The measured value should
(2)
be approximately 2.5 Vdc. If an oscilloscope is available, it is possible to view the pulses
produced by the encoder itself.
As for step (2) but across pins 6 and 4 of connector X2 on the elevation + cutout board.
(3)
Place the tester probes across pins 5 and 8 of connector X5 on the elevation + cutout board.
(4)
During the motor movement the value should be approximately 11-12 Vdc. If an oscilloscope
is available, it is possible to view the pulses produced by the encoder itself.
As for step (4) but across pins 18 and 6 of the inverter.
(5)
As for step (1) but across pins 1 and 2 of connector X2 on the elevation + cutout board.
(6)
Place the tester probes across pins 2 and 1 of connector X5 on the elevation + cutout board.
(7)
The up/down signal should be –24 Vdc during the downward movement and 0 Vdc during the
upward movement.
Place the tester probes across pins 3 and 1 of connector X5 on the elevation + cutout board.
The enable signal should be -24 Vdc when the elevation motor is enabled, and 0 Vdc when it
is disabled.
As for step (3) but across pins 15 and 6 of the inverter for the up/down signal, and across pins
(8)
35 and 6 of the inverter for the enable signal.
