The steps of operation of maintenance bypass

The maintenance bypass procedure transfers the load supply from being protected
by the UPS into AC input bypass supply through a maintenance bypass breaker.
This breaker is either:
Internal (Q3 located within UPS) for single module system (SMS) or 1+1
External (located in the SPC) for 1+1 capacity and 1+N redundant
With configurations consisting of two UPS's 1+1 capacity or 1+N redundant systems integrated
with more than two UPS's, where the load level is above the rated power of the single UPS, it is
necessary to install an adequate external maintenance bypass. It is also necessary to adopt all
the measures required to prevent the internal manual bypass breaker of the UPS (Q3) from
being used.
