Recommended System Engineer Requirements
An SE (System Engineer)

1. Major computer platforms (PC and Mac based)
2. Operating systems:
- Windows 7, 8, 10
- Mac OS
- Linux
- VMware virtualization
3. Server Operating Systems:
- Windows Server 2008, 2012
- Mac OS X Server
4. Protocols/Services:
- TCP/IP
- SSL
- Active Directory
5. Printing
- Print Driver (PCL, PS, UFR)
- Print processor
- Print spooler
- Print queue
6. Scanning
It is also important that the SE have computer skills and working knowledge in
the following areas:
• Remote Support Tools – (Webex, Teamviewer, Windows RDC)
• Other computer platforms (mainframe and UNIX)
