SHUTTING DOWN THE BOILER

5.1
Temporary shut-downs
If you are going away for a short period
of time like a weekend or a short holiday,
etc., and outdoor temperatures are going to
remain above ZERO, proceed as follows.
- Turn the boiler's control panel power switch
OFF (0) (Fig. 5.1)
- Turn the mains power switch OFF (Fig. 5.2)

Do NOT perform this procedure if out-
door temperature might fall below ZERO

(risk of freezing).
If there is any risk of freezing, proceed as
follows.
- Adjust the boiler thermostat (5) to its mini-
mum setting.
- Turn the room thermostat to about 10°C

or select the frost protection function (Fig.
5.3).

Extended shut-downs
If the boiler is not going to be used for an
extended period of time, perform the follow-
ing operations.
- Turn the boiler's control panel power switch
OFF (0) (Fig. 5.4).

- Then turn the mains power switch OFF (Fig.
5.5)
- Close the boiler's fuel cock and water circuit
cock (Fig. 5.6).

Empty the boiler if there is any risk of

freezing. Contact your local Technical

ter any problems in completing the
above procedure.
