- Fix the flue gas thermostat sensor (4) to
the flue gas hood (5) using two of the holes
provided (Fig. 3.20).
- Insert the cable (6) through the cable grom-
met in the rear of the control panel and con-
nect it to terminals 10 and 11, having first
removed the bridge (7) (Fig. 3.21).

Electrical connections

Novella MAXIMA boilers must be connected
to the electrical power supply and to all rele-
vant system devices.
To do so, proceed as follows.
- Route cables from outside the boiler to the
panels through the cable grommets (1, Fig.
3.22) in the side panels.
- Connect the power cable to the terminal
strip (2) in the secondary power panel (3)
(Fig. 3.23).
- Connect the central heating circuit pump
(Pi) to terminals 19 and 20 on the boiler
terminal strip (MC) inside the main control
panel (Fig. 3.24).
- Connect the storage cylinder pump (PB) to
terminals 17 and 18 on the boiler terminal
strip (MC) inside the main control panel
(Fig. 3.24).
- On completion of all necessary connec-
tions, close the covers of the two panels.

The following instructions are mandato-
ry.
- Install a multi-pole magnetic thermal
trip switch and disconnector conform-
ing to IEC-EN standards (with a con-
tact gap of at least 3 mm).
- Respect the L (Phase) - N (Neutral)
polarity.
- Use cables with insulation and cross
section conforming to applicable
standards (minimum cross section 1.5
mm
2
).
- Always refer to the electrical wiring
diagrams in this manual when perform-
ing any electrical work.
- Make sure the appliance is connected
to an efficient ground (earth).

It is strictly forbidden to use fuel and/
or water pipes to ground the appliance.
The manufacturer declines all respon-
sibility for damage caused by failing to
ground the appliance adequately.
