Flue gas vent and air intake

Flues and stack connections must be made
in conformity to all applicable local and
national laws and standards.
Use of heat resistant, condensate resistant
and stress resistant rigid pipe and sealed
joints is mandatory.
b
Novella MAXIMA boilers are equipped
with a flue gas thermostat, located
inside the hood. This thermostat shuts
down the boiler immediately in the event
of flue gas blowback.
b
The boiler derives its comburent air from

the room in which it is installed. Suitable air
vents must therefore be provided in compli-

Fitting the control panel

Proceed as follows to fit the control panel
(Fig. 3.16):
- Fit the cable guard (1) to the top front
panel (2) and fix it in place with the screws
provided.
- Fit the instrument panel (3) and secure that
in place with the screws provided.
- Fit the control sensors (4) in the sheath (5).
Fit the control thermostat sensor first and
push it to the end of the sheath.
b
To ensure correct boiler temperature
control, the control and safety sensors
must be inserted in the sheath from the
central heating flow/return fitting side. If
the flow/return fittings have been moved

to the left of the boiler, the gas valve
must also be fitted on the left side in
order to make this arrangement pos-
