Event message
Draws attention to specific operating states in the machine or system
connected to the PLC.

Fault time The time between the arrival and departure of an alarm message.
Flash memory
Programmable memory which can be deleted quickly and then re-written.
Field "Placeholder" in configured or permanent text, used to output and/or input
certain values.
Forced printout
Automatic printouts of alarm or event messages that are deleted upon a
buffer overflow.

Hardcopy Output of display contents to an attached printer.

Loop-through
Operating mode of OP17. Includes normal operation and also permits com-
mode munication between the PU or PC and the PLC through the second interface
of the OP17. This operating mode is possible only when the interface to the
PLC is established by means of the AS511 protocol.
