5.2.3 Exploring The Control Panel
To display the Control Panel:
Move to the System screen and tap on Control Panel on the Toolbar, or select
the command from the Tools menu.
Initially, you should set up the Time & date,
intend to use one. You might also like to set up owner information and a passcode if
you have not done so already. You may wish to change other settings later.
•
Use the International icon to change settings that may vary from country to
country, e.g. the currency and date formats.
•
Use the Power icon to control how and when the netpad switches on and
off. For example, you might like it to switch on when you tap the screen,
and off when you haven't used it for three minutes. For details, see "Power
and Power Saving Mode" on page 57.
•
Use the Sound icon to control the sounds that the netpad makes when you
press navigation keys, tap the screen and perform other actions.
•
Use the Screen icon to change the screen contrast and brightness, or
re-calibrate the touch sensitive screen if the netpad stops responding to your
pen taps.
•
Use the Keyboard icon to control how long you have to hold a key down
before a repeat keypress occurs.
•
Use the Passcode icon to set a passcode on your machine or enter
owner information.
