2.5 The Screen, Command Icons And Toolbar
The netpad has a column of permanent "command icons" on the right-hand side.
From top to bottom these are:
Menu:
Displays the menus for the current program. Menus are displayed
along the top of the screen.
Contrast and brightness control:
Tap the icon repeatedly to cycle through the default brightness levels.
Zoom control:
Tap the icon repeatedly to cycle through the zoom settings. The zoom
settings depend on the application you are in and are stored indepen-
dently for each application.
Keyboard:
Displays the Psiboard, the on-screen keyboard.
System command icon:
When you are in a program, the System command icon displays the
System screen. From the System screen, tapping the icon displays the
Program bar containing the icons for the programs installed on your
netpad.
When you are in a program, the program's Toolbar is usually displayed to the left of
the command icons. This Toolbar contains four icons with the name of the program
above them. Tapping on the name displays the list of open files and folders. Below
the name are four icons that vary from program to program and are the most com-
monly used functions for each program.
