MobileIntegrator from Ki is a rapid application development tool that has been
used to write applications as simple as a questionnaire of a few lines, and as
complex as complete support for medical rounds or anamnesis with tens of thou-
sands of data entry fields structured in hierarchical trees. By using the XML-format
for the internal representation of the input dialogues as well as the captured data, the
resulting applications are flexible enough to be very easily integrated into existing
system environments.
Oracle
Psion Teklogix and Oracle Corporation are pleased to announce availability of
Oracle 8i Lite for Psion Teklogix devices. Oracle 8i Lite, the Internet platform for
mobile computing, is a complete platform for developing, deploying, and managing
mobile applications. Oracle 8i Lite comprises two elements: Oracle Lite DBMS,
Consolidator and Web-to-go.
Palmware
MPS is a virtual computer universal interface eliminating the differences between
platforms (hardware and software) offered by IT and telecommunications vendors.
MPS works in a complementary way with the machine's native operating system,
and it is designed for mobile platforms. MPS guarantees the use of a standard appli-
cation across a wide variety of platforms. What this means to developers is that
MPS offers a single development environment, irrespective of the varying OS
requirements that may otherwise be made by a diverse range of target systems while
being able to retain their individual capabilities and performance characteristics.
Sybase
SQL Anywhere Studio is a suite of products for database development and data
synchronization. The suite includes a full database development environment
(Adaptive Server Anywhere) and a small fingerprint database designed for small
devices. The components of the product suite are:

UltraLite deployment technology for Adaptive Server Anywhere generates
an application optimized database targeting memory constrained devices.

MobiLink synchronization technology provides for the secure, bidirectional
exchange of enterprise information between remote devices and heteroge-
neous data sources including Sybase, Oracle, Microsoft, and IBM.
