Chapter 7: Connecting netpad To A PC
Using PsiWin
•
Drag and drop files between the netpad and the PC in the same way that
you would between PC drives, and they will be automatically converted to
the appropriate file format at the same time.
•
Synchronize Agenda files and your address book on the netpad with PC
agendas (applications) and contact managers to keep them in step with
each other.
•
Back up your netpad files to the PC, then restore them from the PC to the
netpad again should you ever need to.
•
Print files on your netpad to a printer connected directly to your PC, or
available to your PC via a network.
7.3 Using PsiWin
PsiWin is not a separate program; instead it allows Windows Explorer to see files on
your netpad, using the My Psion icon. You can copy your netpad files in most of the
ways you can copy any normal PC file. The two methods outlined in this chapter are
representative of ways that you might use Explorer, but are not the only possibilities.
Note: You can change the look of Explorer using options in the View menu;
therefore, the appearance of your own screen may vary slightly from
those shown.

features and functionality. Please consult the online Help for further information or
guidance on using PsiWin.
You can display the help topics by:
•
Selecting Start, then Programs, then PsiWin 2.x, then PsiWin Help.
•
Selecting the My Psion icon in Explorer and pressing the F1 key.
•
Double-clicking on My Psion and selecting Help, then Help Topics from
the Menu bar.
Note: You can display help for a particular task or dialogue by pressing the
<F1> key or clicking on the Help button.
