ZON Utility

This chapt er describes t he screens for ZON Ut ilit y.
4.1 ZyXEL One Network (ZON) Utility Screen
ZON Ut ilit y is a program designed t o help you deploy and m anage a net work m ore efficient ly. I t
det ect s devices aut om at ically and allows you t o do basic set t ings on devices in t he net work wit hout
having t o be near it .
The ZON Ut ilit y issues request s via ZyXEL Discovery Prot ocol ( ZDP) and in response t o t he query,
t he device responds back wit h basic inform at ion including I P address, firm ware version, locat ion,
syst em and m odel nam e in t he sam e broadcast dom ain. The inform at ion is t hen displayed in t he
ZON Ut ilit y screen and you can perform t asks like basic configurat ion of t he devices and bat ch
firm ware upgrade in it . You can download t he ZON Ut ilit y at www.zyxel.com and inst all it on a PC.
