Select t o En a ble or D isa ble t he Spanning-Tree funct ion.
Select t he bridge prot ocol dat a unit s forward ( BPDU) opt ion t o be Floodin g or Filt e r in g.
Select Sh or t or Lon g as a Pa t h Cost m et hod.
Pat h cost is t he cost of t ransm it t ing a fram e on t o a LAN t hrough t hat port . I t is
recom m ended t hat you assign t his value according t o t he speed of t he bridge. The slower
t he m edia, t he higher t he cost - see Table 40 on page 112 for m ore inform at ion.
Select t he t ype of spanning t ree prot ocol t o use. The following opt ions are available:
• STP
• RSTP
• M STP
Ent er t he nam e of t he configurat ion in hexadecim al. The m axim um num ber charact ers is
32.
Ent er t he revision num ber of configurat ion. The num ber can be bet ween 0 and 65535.
Click Apply t o save t he changes.
Click Ca nce l t o discard t he changes.
