Host Nam e This field displays a host nam e.
I P Address The Swit ch needs an I P address for it t o be m anaged over t he net work. The fact ory
default I P address is 192.168.1.1.
Subnet Mask The subnet m ask specifies t he net work num ber port ion of an I P address.
The fact ory default subnet m ask is 255.255.255.0.
Gat eway Type t he I P address of t he default out going gat eway in dot t ed decim al not at ion, for
exam ple 192.168.1.254.
DNS DNS ( Dom ain Nam e Syst em ) is for m apping a dom ain nam e t o it s corresponding I P
address and vice versa. Ent er a dom ain nam e server I P address in order t o be able t o
use a dom ain nam e inst ead of an I P address.
NTP( Net work Tim e This field displays t he NTP t im e servers from which t he Swit ch get s t he t im e and dat e.
