INSPECTION
SPINDLE
Inspect the following:
COLLAR
— spindle for wear or damage
— gear teeth for wear or damage
— return spring for weakness or damage
— bushing for wear or damage
RETURN SPRING
BUSHING
— driven gear for wear or damage
FRICTION SPRING
DRIVEN GEAR
— friction spring for weakness or damage
— starter ratchet teeth of the drive pulley face for wear or
damage
STARTER RATCHET
— crankcase cover bearings for wear or damage.
COLLAR BUSHING
