Placing air-to-ground voice calls

This section provides detailed instructions on how to place
a variety of air-to-ground voice calls.
Calling to North America
To place a voice call from air-to-ground to
North America:
1. Listen for dial tone before placing a call; it indicates
2. Dial 00.
3. Dial 1 (the country code for North America).
4. Dial the area code, and then the telephone number.

The call is routed through the satellite link and the
Land Earth Station (LES) and connecting to the PSTN;
you may experience up to a 30 second delay before
your call rings through.
