EMOVAL
1. Mark and disconnect the hose
assemblies from the fittings
and immediately cap the open-
ings to prevent foreign material
from entering.
2. Support the depression mech-
anism tube weldments on
each side with wood blocks.
3. Remove the cotter pin and the
pin weldment from each end of
the cylinder.
4. Lift the cylinder out of the unit
and move to a prepared work
area.

ISASSEMBLY
1. Unscrew the head from the cylinder.
2. Pull the rod assembly from the cylinder.
3. Remove the seal kit components from the head and piston.

LEANING AND
I
NSPECTION
1. Wash all the metal parts in
cleaning solvent and blow dry
with filtered compressed air.
2. Inspect all the threaded com-
ponents for stripped or dam-
aged threads.
3. Check the inside surface of the
cylinder barrel for scoring or
excessive wear.
4. Check the piston and headcap
for scoring or excessive wear.
5. Inspect the surface of the shaft
for scoring or excessive wear.
