5.7.8 Blades

To examine the blades
Put the cutting deck in servicing position. Look at the
blades to see if they are damaged and if they need to
be sharpened. Tighten the blade bolts with tightening
tourqe 60Nm, in the direction of the arrows in the
illstration.
CAUTION: Damaged or incorrectly
balanced blades cause unbalance that
can damage the product. Replace
damaged blades. Let an authorized service agent
help you sharpen and balance blunt blades.
To replace the blades
CAUTION: The bolt heads can be dam-
aged if you try to loosen them in the
incorrect direction.
1. Put the cutting deck in servicing position.
2. Lock the blade with a wooden block.
3. Loosen and remove the blade bolt, the washers
and the blade. Loosen the blade bolts in the
direction of the arrows in the illustration.
4. Assemble the new blade with the angled ends up
owards the cutting deck.
5. Attach the blade with the washer and the bolt with
tightening torque 60 Nm.
