5.1.2 Throttle cable

Checking the throttle cable
Make sure that the engine responds to the throttle
and that the correct engine speed is attained at full
throttle. For further information, see "6.1.4 Technical
data – RC 318T / RC 320Ts AWD" on page 72.
Adjusting the throttle cable
If adjustment is needed, do the following on the cable.
1. Loosen the clamping screw for the outer casing
of the cable and slide the throttle control to the full
throttle position.
2. Pull the cable casing to the far right and tighten
the clamping screw.
3. Pull back the throttle to the full throttle position
and check that the choke is no longer actuated.
Dismantling the throttle cable
1. Remove the side cover.
2. Remove the knobs from the throttle cable.
3. Loosen the control console by removing the
screws.
4. Pull the throttle down through the opening.
5. Cut the front tie bands.
6. Loosen the wire from the control.
7. Cut the rear tie bands.
8. Loosen the throttle cable from the fastening hole
in the lower lever arm or loosen the choke cable
from the fastening hole in the upper lever arm.
Assembly
1. Assemble in opposite sequence.
2. Adjust and check after assembly.
