2 Installation
Power supply connection with external source

To connect the power source to the device, follow the steps listed in the previous table: find the 12-24 V DC connect-
or (located on the front panel of the device) and insert the power cable.

2.1.2 Protection Fuse

The Teldat H Automotive router family has a protection fuse to stop the device and its surrounding area from being
damaged.
The following image, shown in red, shows where the protection fuse is located.

In cases where the device is not functioning, please check that the fuse is correctly installed and has not blown.
Warning
The fuse must have the characteristics indicated by Teldat. Its maximum current value is stated on the
device's label or on its identifying label.

2.1.3 Data Connection

The Teldat H Automotive router family has the following available connectors. Depending on the model, some of
these connectors may not be available:
SWITCH:
The Teldat H Automotive routers can incorporate a 4 port Switch, 10/100 BaseT with automatic MDI/MDIX to con-
nect to a local area network (LAN); this device has a 100 LED indicating connection at 100 Mbps and a 10 LED indic-
ating connection at 10 Mbps.
Please pay careful attention to the labeling to avoid confusing this switch with other types of ports.
