8. Performing Database Backup
This chapter describes how to back up and restore the database.
8.1 Backing up the Database
It is recommended to regularly back up your data. A zip file containing a
backup of the database is normally created in C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Rosslare\ HomeLogiX-40 Remote Programmer\Backups
Each time you perform a backup, a new file is created in the directory.
To back up the database:
1. From the Menu bar, select Tools > Backup Database.
A confirmation window opens.
Click OK.

8.2 Restoring the Database
You can restore the database from a backup.
To restore the database:
1. From the Menu bar, select Tools > Restore Database.
The following warning window opens.
Click Yes.

A confirmation window appears.
Click OK.

The database is now restored from the backup.
