Front Master Cylinder
Removal
CAUTION
A
void spilling
fluid
on
painted,
plastic
or
rubber
parts.
Place
a
shop towel
over these
parts
whenever
the
system
is serviced.
NOTE
W hen removing t he brake hose bolt, cover t he end of the
hose to prevent contamination.
Secure the hose to prevent fluid from leaking out.
Drain the f ront brake hydraulic system
(page
13 -3).
Remove the pivot nut/bolt and brake lever.
Remove the oil bolt and disconnect the brake hose.
Remove the master cylinder holder and master
cylinde r.
Disassembly
Remove the piston boot, snap ring and washer from the
master
cylinder
body.
