Crankshaft Removal
CAUTION

crankshaft,

careful
not

o damage or nick the hollow
crank
weights.
Separate the crankcase (page 10-3).
Remove
the transmission (page 10-41.
Remove
the crankshaft from the
right
crankcase using a
hydraulic press as
shown.
If the crankshaft bearing is removed with the crankshaft,
remove the
bearing using the
bearing
puller and discard the
bearing.
